Red Mist

A painting inspired by the visits to Mars and the obsession with the planets surface and possible mineral wealth.  The painting reflects this with it's different surface textures and marks and is enhanced with the metal leaf to enrich the painting as a whole.

Through the Red Mist there are abstracted landscapes and strange forms to be seen in the squares and collections of squares.

 

Painted in acrylics and metal leaf it unusually, works as a portrait or landscape and is painted at the sides so no framing is needed
